A Merry Little Christmas (week 45)

I want to start off by saying thank you to everyone who sent me emails in the last little while! I know I haven't responded to all of you but I am truly grateful for your thoughts and words. I wish I had enough time to personally thank all of you but I simply just don't have enough time. I love you all!!!

Our Christmas was probably as good as it could have been for a missionary. We had member appointments on the 24th, 25th, and 26th—which, for the Germans, is all "Christmas"—and not only was it great to be with them, they definitely made a huge effort to help us feel at home! As I sat there Christmas morning, I was looking at the presents that I had received from so many people—family, friends, members, investigators, companions, (and myself HA), I was so humbled by the love that was shared. It wasn't the gifts that touched me (although some GREAT gifts were given), it literally was the love behind the gift that warmed my heart. This love—the love of God and His Son—is the love that we are to share with the people around us! This is why I am on a mission. The knowledge of the gospel and of my Heavenly Father and His Son have brought me so much joy and light into my life and I have a simple desire to share that with others.

I am so grateful to have been here at this time to spend Christmas with these people, although it was hard, it was right. The German Primary kids singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" in English with their cute little German accents was probably the highlight of the week. :)

This week was pretty uneventful in regards to missionary work—although many people outside had softened hearts and were willing to talk a bit with us about Christ and Christmas—UNTIL LAST NIGHT. I talked a little bit about "B" last week, well, last night we finally met with him. We met at the church, gave him a Book of Mormon and talked about where it came from and why we love it, and before the lesson was even over, he said, "I would like to have another meeting with you!" Our first new investigator here in Greifswald in the last three months! Ah! I'm so happy.

Here's a few pictures from our Christmas! I hope you all had a great holiday season! Don't forget to set those new years' resolutions! 2015 is going to be a good year—I just KNOW it. :) Love you!
