This is gonna be a short email... Found out a few weeks ago that I've been accepted to BYU and will be starting school in the fall! Like...two and a half weeks after I get home. I feel like my life kind of just blew up in my face, but almost like a beautiful explosion. Like everything just fell into place. I still don't like to think that I've only got three more transfers after this one—only one more area. It'll be fun to see where that will be!
This week literally flew by and probably left some skid marks. I honestly can't remember what we did this past week. We had exchanges which literally lasted less than 4 hours—our STL's live in Berlin so it takes forever to get here and then back, and they both come. We ate and slept and studied the four of us and then Sister Demke and I did finding for like 3 hours before meeting up with the others at the train station.
Some creeper was spying on us through his window as we sat down to look at the map and contact list. We were sitting on this bench and his house was right in front of us and we saw him trying to be sneaky in his room WITH BINOCULARS looking at us behind the curtains. We were there for probably 20 minutes, and so was he. We decided to go knock on his door and share a nice message about families with him. He didn't answer. Haha.
We had an appointment with our only investigator, Frau Pahl, again this week. We were talking about the three kingdoms of glory, well all of a sudden she's going off on the law of Moses and circumcision... T M I. Definitely did NOT need to know all those nice little details... I swear, we always miss our train when we're at appointments with her. And she always stuffs us full of cake and chocolate and hot chocolate and creampuffs and oreos. We always stop by the store as we wait for the train/bus and buy fruit and bread and anything healthy because we are so chalk full of sugar after those appointments. She means well. :) It's just a lot...
Just 24 hours ago, I had never been part of an administration of the sacrament NOT in sacrament meeting. Now I've been part of it... twice! Yesterday we went with the Elders to take the sacrament to a member in the hospital in Greifswald. Today we had our own little church with another sick member. Bruder Seig wanted the whole thing—we sang a song (I played the piano), prayed, the Elders blessed the sacrament, we gave a lesson, we sang another song (I played again...who knew?!), and prayed again. Our own mini-sacrament:) It was fun, and he was happy. Oh the things you experience on a mission. ;)
Yep. I'm out of things to say.
Bis zum nächsten Mal! Auf Wiedersehen! Ich weiß daß die Kirche wahr ist!!
