Before you all get too worried, my foot is fine. It's no longer
swollen and I can walk again. Hallelujah.
Welp, I'm officially DONE with my training. I'm a big missionary now. For
information about how transfer calls went, you'll have to read to the end of
this email.
Last week in my email I mentioned about an investigator who we met last
Saturday and who came to church last Sunday. His name is "R", and he's a
punk 17-year-old from Slovakia. We met with him this week, had a bomb first
lesson, and... he agreed to be baptized. He still has a ton to learn and some
utilizing of the Atonement to do, but if all goes well, he'll be baptized on the
12th of July.
If I hadn't been bit by some mysterious something two weeks ago, and if my
foot hadn't been swollen, then we wouldn't have left our bikes at the Hauptbahnhof,
and they wouldn't have been stolen. If they wouldn't have been stolen, we
wouldn't have gone to the police station, and we wouldn't have found
"R".
Medicine for a swollen foot: 6.62 Euro
New bikes: 100 Euro
A soul brought unto Christ: Priceless
;)
We had to ride our borrowed bikes back 13 kilometers in the pouring rain on
Saturday. We showed up at the members' house looking like something the cat
dragged in. Did I mention that my comp's bike is made for a 12 year old?
OH, guess what! I gave a 10 minute talk in church yesterday. It was a
farewell for one of the YW in our ward (who's going to Singapore!) soooo there
were a lot of people there. And I'll have you know that I made an audience of
Germans laugh. Laugh! Check that one off the list.
That's about it for this week...
Sister Stuart is heading to Leipzig tomorrow.
I'm staying in Hildesheim and getting a new companion.
She's coming from Berlin, and her name is Sister Schwantes.
Sister Schwantes trained my ever-favorite Sister Bell! And I got to talk to
her on the phone the other day and it was such a wonderful reunion. :)
I'm stepping on up here this week so your prayers would be appreciated.
Until then,
Sister Seamons
