Last Monday after being bored in Hannover and coming back home, we went to Hoang's house to watch the soccer game. That goal was suuuumthing special. We decided to have our own little soccer game. Hoang and I against Sister Schwantes and Stavros (the Elders' investigator, who got baptized yesterday!!!). Hoang and I lost (obviously, because I was the weakest link) but he was a good sport about it. :) I would send a picture, but we're in Hannover again and the computer won't let me! I'll send a bunch of pictures next week. :)
Germany is boiling. We had hardly any appointments this week and spent SO much time outside walking around in the heat and humidity. One of the members told me I got a nice tan, haha. Unfortunately Germans don't believe in air conditioning either... The church has become a cool, heavenly oasis (as it should be :)).
Moving on to the topic of "R"... Yes, he has been found. Isabel talked to him on Facebook and he told her to have us call him at 1:20 the next day... We were a little skeptical but called and he finally answered (after our many attempts to call him the days prior) aaaand basically everything's picked up where it dropped off. We had taken him off baptismal date while we lost contact, and we don't feel that he's ready to be put back on, at least for a while. Like I said earlier, Stavros got baptized yesterday, and "R" didn't say very nice things about it, so we're taking our foot off the gas and slowing things down.
Other than that, not much else to say. We spent a lot of time meeting with members this week. Sister Schwantes accidentally rang the door bell of a man twice and he threatened to call the police on us. Transfer calls are coming up this Saturday. I have a feeling something big is going to happen...
I want to quickly give my testimony of the Book of Mormon. There is power in this book like nothing else in the world. The Book of Mormon is an answer to a million prayers. We can expect blessings every time we read these words of God--immediate blessings and blessings in the future. I have found so many answers and comfort and motivation in reading the Book of Mormon, as well as the Doctrine & Covenants, which I have been studying for the past few weeks. We have an hour every morning for personal study, and this hour every single day is not nearly enough time to truly grasp all of the wonderful words and doctrines and principles this gospel has to offer. Heavenly Father's plan is truly a Plan of Happiness. Although we can't see our premortal life or heaven, we can know they are there. When you read the Book of Mormon and do as Moroni suggests, our hope and faith can become knowledge. You can know, just as I know, that this Church is true. I know it's true. I know it. I live it. I love it!
Sending all my love,
Sister Bianca Seamons
