I don't know how else to start out this email except to say that "R's" baptism has been cancelled. We saw him last on Wednesday, and then he fell off the face of the planet. He got a new phone and can't answer texts or calls and he hasn't come to appointments or church... we have no idea where the kid went to. We're stumped as to what to do, and there's not much we can do until he somehow contacts us. Grr Satan! Leave our investigators alone.
The bike from Sister Schwantes broke this week. I want to know WHY we always have problems with these things. I would be a little more upset if we didn't find a new investigator while we were walking the bike to the bike shop. In other news, I must have an insect bite allergy, because I got bit again on my leg and it was pussing for like three days. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but just imagine a mosquito bite the size of your hand, and you'll know how un-fun it was.
I'll have you all know that DEUTSCHLAND IST WELTMEISTER!!! Germany went crAAAzy last night with the win of Germany over Argentina in soccer. I can't tell you I'm not surprised. Everyone was yelling and blowing horns and honking and all sorts of stuff and us poor missionaries couldn't sleep. With the permission of our wonderful mission president, we're allowed to watch the recorded game, so we'll be having a party at Hoang's tonight:)
This week was seemingly boring. Sorry. I guess I'll take up some more space by writing about what I learned this morning in personal study. I read this verse that I really liked in Doctrine and Covenants 15:6:
"For behold, I say unto you, the thing with will be of the MOST WORTH unto you will be to declare repentance unto this people, that you may bring souls unto me, that you may rest with them in the kingdom of my Father."
If any of you are looking for something more in your life, if you feel like something is missing, do missionary work. This type of work sometimes looks very different. Sometimes it looks like a black name tag and a white shirt, sometimes it means referring someone to the missionaries, but most often it means serving those around you and "lifting the hands that hang down." Pray for these opportunities. They will come.
Missionary work is the bombdiggity. Try it out, I think you'll like it.
From a whole-in-the-wall internet laden in Hannover,
Sister Seamons
PS I'm trunky for the temple. Go to the temple this week for me. Please and thank you!
