So... I'm halfway done (week 40)

Just the thought that I'm over halfway done with my mission kind of turns my brains into jelly. I haven't been here that long, but yet I've been here a whole lifetime. One day seems like an eternity and then transfers turn into just minutes. I can't really explain it.

Wednesday was my nine-month mark, and it turned into a special day when President Kosak came to our church to give me a priesthood blessing. I've never been one to get a lot of blessings so this was really special for me, and I was able to receive a lot of great advice. We ended the day going to a super great, authentic Mexican restaurant in the heart of ghetto-Berlin, Kreuzberg. Best place for finding. But all in all the whole week, we had a total of 8 appointments fall out and 8 appointments that actually went through. So we were busy but also super NOT busy. We visited some of my favorite members in this ward this week, the Fischer's, the Eberhard's, and the Marinkovic's. I LOVE THESE PEOPLE! Gosh, I really can't tell you how big I smile when we walk away from their houses.

Other big news...well. We had the great opportunity last night to take part in a fireside put on by The Piano Guys! We found out only about two hours before it started and all missionaries in the Berlin area hurried so we could be there. It was seriously amazing. They all bore testimony and played a few songs and answered questions and the Spirit was so strong! I'm so lucky to be a missionary in Berlin—especially at this time of the year! This morning the Berlin North and South zones got together to play a little football for Thanksgiving (obviously I didn't play, Sister Miller and I got food instead, haha). It was pouring rain the whole time, but our zone totally killed it. My comp even got a touchdown.

Not much else too exciting this week. Except that we went sledding in the middle of Berlin last week, haha. The work goes on! Happy Thanksgiving!
