The Week We Didn't Even Spend in Greifswald (week 58)

This week went by just as fast as the last ones. Transfer calls are already this weekend...also CONFERENCE!!!! Which we get to watch in English at the Paeplow's. :) Members=awesome.

This is basically our week summed up:

Monday: Stralsund
Tuesday: Greifswald
Wednesday: Stralsund
Thursday: Wolgast
Friday: Stralsund
Saturday: Wolgast
Sunday: Greifswald

It's a good thing we get reimbursed for travel tickets or else we would be totally broke! Like broker than broke! With Sister Jensen and the Elders though, it's always an adventure. :)

Probably the biggest miracle of the week happened as we were coming back from Stralsund Friday night. We had just had a really successful and fulfilling day and we had made sure that everything was going to go as smoothly as possible, seeing as we had 3 appointments that day—one in Greifswald and two in Stralsund. It was going to be tight just because of that and travel times, but to make matters worse, they were doing construction on the train station in Stralsund so only busses were going to and from the two cities, and we needed to catch a specific bus heading back that evening otherwise we'd be more or less [in a pickle] (and come home late). Everything ended up working out until we were leaving our last appointment with Frau Pahl and we literally watched the bus to the train station drive off in front of our eyes... okay okay, no problem, that happens all the time! ... the next one didn't come for 25 minutes. And our bus to go back to Greifswald was leaving in 40. A little too close for comfort! Well we waited anxiously until TWO busses came, one of which had one less stop before the station. That saved us. We jumped out of the bus and ran to the other bus, and... watched it drive off again right in front of our eyes. Haha it seems so dramatic now looking back but I just walked around the corner saying, "no...no...no...no" haha. I thought we were dead! until we kept walking and found another bus also going to Greifswald. :) Sister Jensen and I got on that bus, plopped our butts down, and fell asleep for the hour ride back.

Here's another story that I'm sending to President, then I'll end: On Friday we were in Wolgast just doing some contacting and finding. We had an appointment back in Greifswald in the evening so we had planned to take a train back, eat, and go to this member appointment, but before that we wanted to stop by on two members and drop off my brother's brownie recipe that they had requested before catching the train. Along the way, we actually ran into Sister Wiese and her three kids going back home from the park! Right at the street corner—10 seconds earlier or later we would have missed each other. We told her we were just going to stop by and drop the recipe off but she invited us right in and asked us to share a spiritual thought. We had about 10 minutes before we had to leave so we played cars with her son before I realized that the train we actually had to take to be on time left...just two hours ago. Don't know where my mind was but we were just finding and stuff meanwhile we had an appointment 40 minutes away! Sister Wiese quickly made us sandwiches and gave us an apple and some chocolate before we had to run to the next train to get (late) to our appointment. What I'm getting at with this whole story is that the Lord probably distracted me somehow so we would be at the street corner at the right time to meet with this wonderful, wonderful member who took the opportunity to serve us and make our whole day. Definitely a tender mercy. :)

That's it from me. Stay tuned to see what happens with good old Sister Seamons with transfer calls that could send her to her last city...eep!

Happy Easter!!!! He IS risen!!!!
