Oh boy what a week. Many things happened. Not the least of which, we got our travel plans. Hold your horses, that's coming soon.

Monday March 17
Pretty normal p-day today. We did initiatories, emailed, laundry, napped... Typical p-day stuff. I got 13!! DearElders today from someone who rocks (you know who you are). I was the talk of our floor for a few days for that actually. Everyone was jealous.

Tuesday March 18
We had interviews with our teachers today. Bruder B. interviewed me and I explained to him some of the things I needed help with and he read some great scriptures with me about my questions. I'm so grateful to have the teachers that I have. They're the bees knees. In other news, we FINALLY committed D to baptism!!! AH! We still have a long way to go but he's well on his way. He has so much faith and is such a Christlike person. He just doesn't feel particularly ready or worthy, but we're working on that. He's prime.
Wednesday March 19
We had TRC this morning and we talked about faith, hope, and charity. It went really well. It was the first time we had to teach for a full 40 minutes for TRC--normally we only teach two 20 minute lessons. So that was different but it was great because we were more able to invite the Spirit and have a discussion. During our study time, we were watching out the window at all the new missionaries, and lo and behold, I spot Natalie Allen (my dear friend and neighbor for 14 years) being escorted around. We ran out of that room so fast and I hug tackled her and almost started crying! It was awesome. It wasn't coincidence that we saw her out of that window ;) And it's not coincidence that we live in the same building... on the same floor... two doors apart. What? That's basically how it was at home! In other news, we were trying to convince one of the Elders that Sister B had a pacemaker, and without thinking, I said, "Yeah she does, I've seen it!" Classic Sister Seamons for ya.
Thursday March 20
FLIGHT PLANS TODAY. We weren't expecting them until tomorrow but we got them today! SURPRISE! We leave the MTC at 4:35am next Tuesday. We fly from SLC to Minneapolis to Amsterdam to Berlin. Ah we're excited. Okay so preface for this next story: Here at the MTC, we make this special cereal that we eat all the time, which consists of All-Bran, Shredded Wheat (like mini wheats, but probably 4 times the size, without the frosting), almonds, honey, and milk. This morning, when we (and probably 1000 other people) were getting breakfast, I had made this special cereal and was checking out of the sack-lunch line, when my bowl of cereal slipped off my tray and landed all over the ground. Honey and all. You'd think this would be my embarrassing story of the week but mostly it was just funny. The Elders were sick today and weren't in class. It was actually pretty nice.
Friday March 21
Okay embarrassing story time. The Elders were sick again today so it was us 3 Sisters and Bruder G in class. We were singing Love at Home at the beginning of class (in German of course). Near the end of the song, there was a high note and EVERYONE in the room EXCEPT FOR ME stopped singing for just that one note, and I belted out this high D at 7:30 in the morning. Someone didn't send me the memo telling me DON'T SING. Ooohh it was so embarrassing. Bruder G gave me a handshake and said, "Gut gemacht" (good job). He kept saying how "schön" it was to make me feel better. The rest of the day, everyone kept saying, "Sister Seamons, do you want to sing a solo for us again?" Ugh NO! Anyways. During class afterwards, we were taking English sentences and translating them to German present, conversational past, and narrative past tenses. It was my turn to do conversational past tense, but Bruder G bet that the sentence would be too hard to do, but I told him I wanted to try. The sentence was something like, "Joseph Smith hat die Wahrheit wissen müssen." Aaaaand es war perfekt! What's up. I got packages from mom, Heather, and Opa today. Thank you so much!!!!!!! Today was a really great day.
Saturday March 22
Now this is where this week gets hard and weird. A bunch of stuff with the disobedient Elders was addressed today. Some of the stuff I'm hearing is happening is just absurd (and I think a little exaggerated). The main Elders got a talking to from the District President about being sent home, basically giving them one more chance to straighten up. We'll see what happens with that. In other news, Elder C and I practiced for a song we wanted to sing in sacrament tomorrow, but he was getting a little sick so we didn't know if his voice would still be good by tomorrow.
Sunday March 23
Elder C's voice was worse this morning so I ended up singing a solo in sacrament meeting (what is it with me and solos this week?). It went okay. We heard that in Priesthood today all of our Elders got a stern talking to. Afterwards, one of our Branch Presidency pulled us Sisters into a room and told us that, to some degree, we would be deciding whether or not the troublesome Elders are being sent home. Since we are around them more often, it's our responsibility to keep a close eye and report anything we see that goes wrong. Now we're feeling this biiiiiig pressure. Apparently one of the things they're being chastised for is disrespecting/offending Sisters, so almost all of the Elders came up to us (even the ones who have done nothing wrong) and apologized for ever having offended us or causing a loss of trust. I feel really bad because there's only 2 real Elders that I have problems with, but the others think that we don't trust them because of those Elders actions. Our zone is a HUGE mess. Phew. Rant over. We ushered and said opening/closing prayers as a zone today for the Devotional. The speaker talked about repentance and obedience and he did so with flames coming out his nostrils. It was kinda scary, and kinda directed towards our zone. Hopefully we see a change in these Elders or they're going to be sent home.
Sorry for all the extra information this week. I learned a lot, but we've also been so distracted. I promise the MTC isn't normally this way. We just got a bad egg of a zone. Prayers in our behalf would be appreciated. This next week is the last week we have here in the MTC, and we couldn't be more excited to be heading to Germany in 8 days! I'm really going to miss it here at the MTC. I'm going to miss the Sisters in my zone, the Elders too (believe it or not), my teachers, formally learning German, being around so many great people, and just being in one of the coolest places in the world. I almost don't want to leave buuuuut really I do. Germany awaits.
Liebe grüße,
Sister Bianca Seamons
