Surprise! I've got a GOLDEN in the oven! [I'm not a Junior anymore!] (week 29)

As I'm writing this, we're sitting in an internet laden [shop] being suffocated by second-hand smoke, even though we're in the 'non-smoking' section. Germans love their cigarettes. In fact, over the past five months in Germany, I've put together a list of 5 words that I would say describe Germany. Here they are:

1. Cigarettes
2. Cobblestone
3. Christmas (which, in fact, has already started here in Berlin. They've started putting out all the delicious cookies and gingerbread and I've already died and gone to heaven. Mom and Dad, you better be jealous!)
4. Cobwebs
5.

There's no number 5 yet—I'm still trying to find the perfect word to complete the list... and it's not on purpose that they all start with C! Must be true! I seriously love this place with my whole heart! Lucky me, I get to stay another 2 transfers in Berlin. You might ask how I already know that. Well, I'll tell ya.

I'm training. I've been called as a trainer to train a brand new Sister, straight from the MTC.

I'm not freaking out. Who's freaking out?! NOT ME!

My MTC comp, Sister Bollwinkel, is coming to stay with me after Sister Meyer leaves and then on Thursday, I'll be getting my very own golden. :) THEN on Friday we're having four Sisters staying over because Saturday, Elder Bednar is coming to speak to our whole mission! It's going to be an exciting week!

But let's talk about last week! Last Monday we went to the Brandenburger Tor [Gate] and Checkpoint Charlie and bought a lot of postcards to send out. We started talking in English accents to be funny but ended up talking like that for the rest of the week... Even our German started sounding like we're English. Then yesterday we talked to someone who was actually from England and spoke in German with an English accent... hahaha. I'm going to miss Sister Meyer when she leaves. It's been a fun transfer.

We had a really interesting appointment last week... We found ourselves in this guy's apartment with him, his brother, and friend and he's basically just jabbing us with questions about polygamy and chastity and why God let Jesus die and agency and why there's so much bad in the world and all these questions that would be hard for normal people to answer. I honestly think he was trying to see if we were prepared or smart enough to answer these questions. My companion was getting really frustrated but we brought the smack down and answered all his questions with ease. Instead of him stumping us, we stumped him! All thanks to the Spirit of God and the Lord's help! We wouldn't be anywhere without those. :)

Well that's about it for this week. I'll be honest with you and say that I'm really nervous to be training. It's definitely the most important calling in the mission, besides mission president, of course. Neukölln hasn't seen a brand new Sister since the area was opened a year and a half ago. I'm gonna need all the help I can get! As terrified as I am, I know that the Lord qualifies those whom He calls, so somewhere in the 6 months I've been a missionary, I've learned and had enough experiences to prepare myself for this. The Lord will be there for me every step of the way.

For the last time as junior companion,
Sstr Smns

Just hanging out on the tracks waiting
for our train to take us 40 minutes home.

See you later alligator :(
